Adaptation demonstration project examples

Adaptation demonstration projects are real-world examples of how managers have integrated climate considerations into land management planning and activities.

These projects used the Adaptation Workbook to test new ideas and actions for responding to changing conditions in real-world planning. Demonstrations come in all shapes and sizes, showing a variety of adaptation actions that also achieve natural resource management goals.

  • See real-world examples of how natural resources professionals, land managers, and landowners have used the Adaptation Workbook to consider climate change in their management at ForestAdaptation.org/demos.
  • Find real-world examples of how farmers and producers have used the Agriculture Adaptation Workbook on the USDA Climate Hubs website

The online adaptation workbook and training course helps users to create a custom Adaptation Plan

The Adaptation Workbook online tool will format project details into a comprehensive adaptation plan that can be downloaded and incorporated into existing project plans and shared with partners.
